Terms and Conditions
of Registration and Participation
in the 3rd International Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction
(October 12-13, 2017)
By registering at the Conference website www.drr.uw.edu.pl you declare your participation in the 3rd International Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (October 12-13, 2017), hereinafter referred to as: ‘the conference’.
The conference is exclusively educational and academic in nature, related to the participants’
Participants confirm their involvement in the conference by payment of a conference fee in the following amounts:
- Early registration until May 31, 2017, and paying the conference fee by the admission: 142 EUR; by students and doctoral students: 95 EUR (with an option to extend the payment following the posting of the information on the Conference website by the organiser of the Conference);
- Late registration until September 5, 2017, and paying the conference fee by the admission: 188 EUR; students and doctoral students: 142 EUR (with an option to extend the payment following the posting of the information on the Conference website by the organiser of the Conference).
Conference fees are paid to the University of Warsaw (UW).
Participants can make payment to the UW by bank transfer to the account number indicated by the conference organiser, or by Visa and MasterCard credit or debit card. Credit card payments are processed by PayU S.A.
The conference fees minus bank charges will be refunded if notification of cancellation is received before August 15, 2017. After August 15, 2017, but not later than September 15, 2017, the fees refunded will be reduced by 50 EUR. After September 15, 2017, no refunds will be made. All returns will be made within 4 weeks from the date of closing of the conference. The funds will be returned to the card used to make the payment.
All complaints will be dealt with within two weeks of their receipt in writing.
Participants may not transfer any rights or responsibilities arising from these Terms and Conditions to third parties without the prior written consent of the Conference organiser.
Any matters not regulated by these Terms and Conditions are regulated by Polish civil code.
Disputes will be settled by arbitration. Should a settlement not be reached, the dispute will be referred to the court in whose territorial jurisdiction the organiser resides.
Participants will be informed of all changes and additions to the Terms and Conditions in writing.
Participants’ data, collected during on-line registration will be stored by the University of Warsaw, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, Warsaw, TIN 525-001-12-66, REGON 000001258, in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Dziennik Ustaw 2002 Nr 101, art. 926 with later amendments) for the purposes of completing this agreement. The data is provided freely, but is required for participation in the conference. Participants have the right to access their data and to amend it.
